Creating Niksum and the Nannar soldiers has been one of my main tasks for the Nannar project. The soldiers are inspired by Dune and Destiny designs and are tasked with enforcing the new alien rule over the natives of Sumeria becoming the basic enemies of the game.
Following my usual workflow I modeled this character with ZBrush, retopologized with Maya, textured with Substance Painter and rigged on 3DS Max. However for this one I used facial animation using morph targets and thus created a range of 15 different facial expressions to be combined later in Unreal 5.
Oh yeah, there's also a sword somewhere in there!
